Let us break it down for you. This year marks the final year of Disney’s famed Grad Nites. On April 29th, April 30th, May 6th, and May 7th, Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort will transform itself into the ultimate all-night graduation celebration. It’s the party to beat all parties and here’s why you don’t want to miss out:
- The 2011 headlining acts are Talo Cruz, 3OH!3, and Pete Wentz. Plus, Ryan Star will be performing on May 6th and 7th.
- The entire Magic Kingdom Park is closed to the public and open only to high school seniors.
- Attending seniors will have unlimited access to rides, interactive video games, and numerous Magic Kingdom attractions.
- Optional pre-party celebrations are available for groups that don’t want to wait until Grad Nite kicks off at 10:30pm.
- At midnight there’s a special fireworks show accompanied by hit songs from the past year.
- Multiple themed dance parties are set up throughout the park. Typically, there are 4-5 dance floors, including Klub KIIS, Club Super Estrella, Power 106-FM Hip Hop Arena, and TLT Dance Club. Klub KIIS is the main dance floor (and boasts some killer lighting and pyrotechnics) and Super Estrella features Latin style dancing. The Hip Hop Arena is the largest dance floor, but also the most crowded (so come early to watch the action). Head to TLT for techno music and house dancing.
- Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland has a night club feel and a “party boat” steamboat takes students on water rides throughout the night.
- (Tip: show this bullet point off to Mom and Dad…) Disney ups its security level and chaperones are present at all attractions, rides, parties, and dance clubs.
