The Big E Festival in West Springfield, MA is one of the ABA’s top 100 Events in North America and one that The BusBank sends numerous charter bus and tour groups to as well. Each year, The Big E Festival takes place on the Second Friday after Labor Day and runs for 17 days. The Big E is bigger than just being a state fair as it is actually a multi-state fair for the New England States of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. As with most state fairs the focal points are livestock and animals, food, concerts and visiting the various vendors selling local memorabilia.

Food Options at The Big E
Food at all State Fair’s is almost always the star of the show. The Big E Festival is no different with a couple of key items that are the stars of the show. The Big E Cream Puff is well known and is pretty big. You better bring a big appetite or some friends with you to share it. Another option that is very popular is the Big E’s original Crazy burger. The Crazy Burger is a cheeseburger that features two things, we at The BusBank love Bacon+ Donuts! Yes it is a bacon cheeseburger with two halves of a glazed donut! If you thought that option was crazy, they are really bringing out the stops with a Deep Fried Lasanga. You can read more about the festivals food, here. We don’t have pictures of this yet, so we need you to check it out and post pictures on our Facebook Page. “The Big E” does have a lot of other types of food and drinks stations with options from Pierogi’s to tacos along with local beer such as Sam Adams, and Local Vodka from V-One Vodka.
