The BusBank sets the record for the largest movement in charter bus history.

We select and work with a limited number of charter operators – about 1,000, at present – and we are confident our bus operator selection process is the most reliable in North America. Operators are added to our network only after an initial screening process. They stay in our network only by providing our customers with quality, dependable transportation as promised. Here are the highlights of how we decide which charter operators to work with:

Initial Due Diligence
Before we do business with an operator, the operator must provide us with detailed information about its fleet, operations and insurance coverage. In addition, we routinely seek industry references and perform additional due diligence. The BusBank® has a dedicated management team that is focused on our charter operator relationships and has primary responsibility for selecting and evaluating the charter operators that we work with.
We spend time with each operator in person or over the phone, explaining in detail The BusBank’s expectations and receiving confirmation from the operator that these standards will be lived up to. (Five Star Guarantee ) Each operator also receives a BusBank orientation packet that includes, in writing, the terms and conditions under which we expect every BusBank charter to be provided.

Ongoing Evaluation
As we work with each carrier, we build a detailed history of their operations and performance. Every day, we learn more about the carriers’ strengths and weaknesses and how the services of particular operators can fit the specific needs of particular customers.
We talk to owners, charter managers, dispatchers, mechanics and drivers across the country. We also have personnel visiting operators throughout the year, observing their operations and confirming the operators’ understanding of the level of service expected by The BusBank.
We occasionally learn that certain operators have not lived up to our standards and their commitments to The BusBank and our customers. When this happens, we take appropriate action, which ranges from a warning to ending our business relationship.
In addition, and maybe most importantly, we have an ongoing process of surveying our customers. Their feedback is invaluable. It serves as a proprietary tool that becomes part of our working history for each operator. This information helps us “score” the performance of our operators, and we use those scores, as well as our judgment and experience, in determining what charter operator to select for your group.

Simply put, no other company in our industry has committed the resources and built the knowledge base to provide the level of customer service and reliability that we seek to deliver with each charter we arrange.

Does that mean every charter is perfect?
We all know that when dealing with equipment, humans and traffic there are times when things may not go right. If that happens on a charter you arranged directly with a local operator, you are on your own and it’s not likely you, or maybe even the operator, have other options to call upon.

The difference with The BusBank is that you are not alone. We’re On-Call 24/7. Even if the unexpected happens, The BusBank can readily put into action a back-up plan to keep the group on the road and on time.

Despite our unparalleled experience and expertise, The BusBank has faced the unexpected. Read one of Our Stories
